Your initial meld of each hand has to be high cards J, Q, K, or Aces. You can meld wilds with your cards but you have to wait for the next turn to meld other cards than J, Q, K, or Aces. In order to make canastas, you need to have 5s melded. You must have a canasta in 5s and a canasta in J, Q, K, or Aces to go out. No touching the pile!
